Who is Jesus? These days you will
hear a lot of groups mention His name, but are they all talking about
the same person? The answer is no, not at all. Mormons will tell
people about Jesus, but their Jesus is the brother of satan and a
created being. Muslims will talk about Jesus, but their Jesus is just a
prophet, and not the Son of God. He also didn't die on the cross for
our sins. Even many people sitting in Churches all over this Country
will talk about Jesus, but their Jesus supports homosexual marriage and
abortion. What do all of these people have in common? They are all
idolaters. They are people who have created a god in their own mind who
supports whatever evils they want to support. Many of them, like the
last group of people I mentioned, just make up whatever they want as
they go along.
I could say Oprah is a seven foot tall Asian
man but that clearly isn't the Oprah most people would be thinking
about who used to have a television program. Just as I can't make up
whatever I want about Oprah and say that is the same famous Oprah everyone knows about, people can't just make up whatever they want about Jesus and claim it's the same person. So who is the real Jesus? Where do you find out about Him? If you want to know the real Jesus you need to open your Bible and read the words that were written by Him. God wrote the entire Bible, through men, just as one would write a letter using a pen.
I can't get into everything the Bible says about Jesus here, but a few of His attributes are: 1. He is omniscient (John 2:24,25). 2. Christ is worshiped (Matthew 2:11). 3. Jesus forgives sins (Luke 7:48). 4. Jesus creates (John 1:3). 5. Jesus saves (Matthew 18:11). Something you may notice is that all of these attributes are also attributes of God. That is because Jesus is God. So when reading your Bible, remember, anything mentioned about God is also a mention about Jesus. I highly recommend that you read your Bible everyday and put into practice what you read. Do this and you will know the real Jesus and not be fooled when someone comes along with a false Jesus.
